Frank Bailey

Follow the smells from the Deli section of the grocery store at Lakeshore and Elisabeth Street in South Mississauga, as they rise above street level lazily curling up the stairway to the second floor of the Port Credit Business Centre located above.

As you enter between the hours of nine to five your other senses will be assailed by the beeping of a variety of electronic officeware, the babble of phone conversations and the constant comings and goings of the score of the resident entrepreneurs and their sundry visitors and clientelle. A few hours later by mid evening the mood has softened considerably lights are dimmed, shadows lengthened and the energy slowed considerably.

The plastic pecking of a single keyboard or the muted buzz of half a phone conversation punctuated by the odd burst of laughter echoes pointedly up and down the corridors bouncing off the locked doors of the majority of the now slumbering offices.

It would, however, be a rare evening indeed when suite 208 would sit unoccupied and in darkness at this time.

The reason for this is that for the last couple of decades suite 208 has been occupied by me- Frank Bailey, serving a life sentence without parole as a cartoonist, illustrator and graphic designer. After serving my apprenticeship and being employed as a commercial artist and studio manager, for decades I decided my passion for this chosen profession could only be satisfied by taking a large step off a steep cliff and launching my own freelance career.

I now do creative concepts to finished art. Including cartoons, logos (lots of logos), illustrations, ads, brochures, posters, and typography for a variety of clients in a wide range of industries. So if you are looking for a visually appealing way to get your message across. You have already taken the first step by reading to the end of this tract.
